Broad Street is one of the most famous (or infamous) places to go out in Birmingham. It’s a strip of half a mile almost entirely made up of bars and clubs – occasionally broken up by kebab shops. Broad Street can get pretty rowdy so police are a common sight in the area. It also attracts a large number of stag and hen nights although most of the clientele fit into the eighteen to twenty-five year old bracket.
If you’re after a whole night out in one place, we’d recommend Bar Risa in the heart of Broad Street. It also incorporates the Highlight club, the world’s largest comedy chain. For more comedy there’s also Jongleurs which offers you the chance to laugh ‘til you cry and then dance the night away. Birmingham’s heaving Broad Street has a new leader in the style stakes, giving the city three entertainment options in glamorous surroundings.
If you fancy a flutter, how about a little Black Jack at the Grosvenor G Casino? The casino offers great food, late bars, excellent entertainment and the best gaming.
If you wish to escape the stag and hen nights on Broad Street, try the bars in near Brindley Place or Summer Row behind the library. Brindley Place runs underneath Broad Street, beside the canal, which means that it’s the perfect place to enjoy drinks outside during the warmer months. There are also some excellent restaurants, including Thai Edge and Bank, as well as the ever-reliable Pizza Express.
